  2.  ECHLINE COMMUNITY WOODLAND - Established in 1992, first in Scotland, the site is west of the Forth Road  Bridge,  marked by a notice board and cairn. The woodland is owned by the community council and is maintained by volunteers

 ENVIRONMENT STRATEGY

 

OBJECTIVE: To obtain and represent the views of the local community on matters concerning the environment.

To achieve this the QDCC will 

  1. Monitor, through liaison with appropriate groups and organisations within Queensferry, the environment of the District
  2. In conjunction with environmental groups and organisations, monitor the wider environment.
  3. Make known to public and other appropriate bodies the views of the community of Queensferry and Dalmeny on specific matters concerning the local and wider environment.
