MAINTAINING OUR HERITAGE

Queensferry has many old buildings and other interesting relics of former times. One major piece of outside work is the cast iron plaque on the stair wall at the Rosebery Hall. This is dated 1817, just twelve years after the battle of Trafalgar, and yet it has been ignored for many years, resulting in much deterioration. The community council has been pressing the City Council, and after some years and much letter-writing the plaque was removed for renovation. Now, we are delighted to see it replaced, restored to its former glory.
