ACCESS
If a road is to be taken from Bo’ness Road this must be a condition of Planning BEFORE construction starts on the new bridge.
2 access routes would improve plan
No parking on Shore Road
Access from Shore Road does not work
Shore Road needs to have private parking for residents in the green belt area
Shore road to be used for access – for how long
Access along Shore Road and Society Road not appropriate – Problems already
Impact of both this and new bridge on Queensferry!!
The lack of an alternative route is a major drawback. The pressure on ShoreRoad will be too much
Very concerned about the Shore Road access. There is a parking issue there already. The alternative road to the back entrance of Port Edgar along Society Road is also a non-starter.
Access along Shore road
Please think through the access issue along Shore Road – it is not suitable
MARINA
Area reserved for Marina is too small for current use. Car parking will be an issue
Boat storage inadequate
Hopefully the housing will not impact on the marina too much!
Car park v. boat storage
Parking for marina users? Esp. race nights?
Parking for cars for marina users?
Problems with spaces for boats on land for servicing?
Remember this is a marina and that the plans must let the marina function
New slip useable all year, any state of the tide! Please
Pontoon should be facing east/west – not north south
Ensure dingy storage space at slip
Car park v. boat storage
Increase boat storage facilities. This is a marina and should be a ‘jewel in the crown’ of Edinburgh
More boat storage! 300-400 yachts
More car parking
QUESTIONS
Is traffic access to change/improve to accommodate increase traffic/business
How many houses?
Height of housing?
Why not an artists impression from the water looking at P.E.
How many properties will be built. Does the number determine the form of access?
Is the road sufficiently wide to allow access for emergency vehicles?
What about a plan to invest without housing
How long will the redevelopment project take?
What type of housing flats/detached
OTHER
Great idea
Great if something positive happens but listen to community views
Capstan preservation
Development of site long overdue but must be of a high quality and in keeping with Queensferry
It is a simply spiffing plan. Love from Augustus xxx
Environmental problems understated
Impact of both this and new bridge on Queensferry!! BACK
