Rosebery Hall Plaque |
| The plaque on the steps of the Rosebery Hall commemorates the provision of a water supply to that point in 1817. The supply was most probably drawn from the old reservoir, which today is the Rose Garden on Station Road, next to the Bowling Green. The plaque is in full view on the High Street, and has been sadly neglected. For the past two years requests for repair to City of Edinburgh Council have been unsuccessful, but a further approach by the community council at last produced action. The City Council found the money to effect a refurbishment, and now, at last, the plaque is back in position, looking splendid. | |
