FARE PLAY - Working for lower fares
Stagecoach operates a range of through services from Fife to various
destinations in Edinburgh which are available to South Queensferry passengers
from the Forth Road Bridge tolls bus stop.
On 20th February 2006 the company launched a new service from Inverkeithing to
Edinburgh Airport with a flat fare of £4.50.
The Community Council was successful in negotiating a lower fare for South
Queensferry taking into account the town's close proximately to the Airport,
in order to offer a more competitive fare compared to taxis.
The new South Queensferry special fare of £2.30 single and £3.10 return came
into effect on 1 May 2006. More information on the service is available
